[00:00:00] Speaker A: You're listening to the AI Edge, the show that makes AI simple, easy and practical. From chaos to clarity. AI made easy. Let's cut the chaos. [00:00:10] Speaker B: Hey, everyone, welcome back. Today we're diving into something that sounds simple on the surface, but it's actually one of the biggest reasons business owners feel frustrated with AI. It's not the tools, it's not the technology, it's how they're using it. [00:00:25] Speaker A: Exactly. Most business owners already have access to AI tools like ChatGPT, but access doesn't automatically create results and it definitely doesn't create revenue. [00:00:36] Speaker B: Right. You hear that AI can save time, reduce burnout, and handle repetitive work. But then you sit down, Type something into ChatGPT, and what you get back feels generic, robotic, or completely off brand. It's so discouraging. [00:00:49] Speaker A: And when you're already overwhelmed juggling clients, admin work, marketing and operations, the last thing you want is another tool that creates more work instead of less. That feeling of tech overwhelm is real. You're trying to do everything and your spread's so thin. [00:01:05] Speaker B: The time poverty, you're just out of hours in the day. It's a pain point. We hear constantly from small business owners, and it's something we touch on in last week's podcast and in our initial chats with clients. [00:01:16] Speaker A: That's why today's episode is all about AI prompts that actually drive revenue. Not prompts for fun, not prompts for experimenting. Prompts that support real business outcomes. [00:01:26] Speaker B: Here's the mindset shift we want everyone listening to. Make AI is not here to replace your thinking. It's here to support your systems. And systems are what scale businesses think. [00:01:37] Speaker A: Of AI like a digital assistant. If you gave a human assistant vague instructions, you'd get inconsistent results. You wouldn't just say, hey, do some marketing. You'd give them goals, examples, and context. The same thing happens with AI. [00:01:51] Speaker B: Totally. And this is something we see every day with our clients. Most of them don't struggle because they're bad at business. They struggle because they're doing too much manually. They're the bottleneck in their own company. [00:02:02] Speaker A: Right. They're stuck answering the same five questions via email every day or manually, following up with leads, or staring at a blank page, trying to write a social media post. All of that manual work eats up time that could be spent on revenue generating activities. [00:02:18] Speaker B: So instead of working harder, we help them work smarter. Using smart technology and AI, we can help implement systems that handle things like follow ups, content creation, customer responses, and internal workflows. So the business Keeps moving even when they're not glued to their laptop. [00:02:34] Speaker A: Let's break down the framework that makes all of this work. It's simple and you don't need to be technical. It's three context. Command, example. [00:02:43] Speaker B: Write this down, everyone. This is the key. Once you understand this, AI stops feeling random and starts feeling reliable. So let's start with the first one. Context. [00:02:53] Speaker A: First, context. This tells the AI who it is, who it's speaking to, and what the goal is. Without context, AI is just guessing. It's pulling from the entire Internet. But with context, it understands the specific role it's supposed to play for you. [00:03:08] Speaker B: Okay, so let's use a real example. A bad prompt would be just opening chatgpt and typing write me an Instagram post. What is AI supposed to do with that exactly? [00:03:18] Speaker A: A good prompt using context would be, you are a social media manager for a high end hair Salon in Austin, Texas. Your audience is professional women aged 30 to 50 who value quality and self care. [00:03:31] Speaker B: See the difference instantly. The AI knows the industry, the location, the target demographic and the brand positioning. It's not guessing anymore. It has a job description. [00:03:40] Speaker A: Okay, so that's context. Second, the command. This is where you tell the AI exactly what you want it to do and you tie it to a business outcome. [00:03:49] Speaker B: Right? A vague command is write a post, a powerful command that's specific and revenue focused. So continuing our salon example, a great command would be write a LinkedIn post designed to attract new clients and encourage them to book a consultation for our new Baliyar service. [00:04:04] Speaker A: You're aiming the AI toward revenue, not just content. You're not just making noise online, you're creating an asset that works for you. [00:04:11] Speaker B: And that brings us to the third and most important part. Third, the example. This is where most people skip and it's the biggest mistake you can make. You have to give the AI a short sample of your brand voice or tone. [00:04:24] Speaker A: This is how you make the AI sound like you, not like a generic robot. For our salon, the example could be something like, Our salon's tone is luxurious, welcoming and knowledgeable. For example, invest in your hair. It's the crown you never take off. [00:04:39] Speaker B: That one sentence helps AI understand the vibe. It knows to be sophisticated, not slangy, confident, not cutesy alone will transform your results. [00:04:48] Speaker A: So let's put it all together for a realtor context. You are a friendly and experienced realtor in a competitive suburban market. Your audience is first time home buyers who feel overwhelmed by the process. [00:05:00] Speaker B: Great context. Okay, command. Write a short reassuring email to send to a new lead who just filled out a form on my website. The goal is to get them to book a 15 minute introductory call. [00:05:10] Speaker A: Perfect. And finally, the example my brand voice is helpful and demystifies the process. For instance, buying a home is a big deal, but it doesn't have to be scary. I'm here to help you every step of the way. [00:05:23] Speaker B: Boom. That entire prompt will generate an email that's 95% of the way there, saving that realtor hours every week. That single prompt can increase response rates and book more calls. That's revenue leverage and this framework is. [00:05:36] Speaker A: The foundation of everything we do. We help a lot of small business owners solve this exact problem at the hello llc. We don't just teach them this framework, we actually build it into their day to day operations. [00:05:47] Speaker B: Right. So instead of having to remember and type out that long prompt every time they have a system, maybe it's a simple form where they just plug in the client's name and a few details and the AI powered system generates that perfect follow up email automatically. [00:06:01] Speaker A: Let's talk about another example. A restaurant owner. They are notoriously busy. They don't have time to be a creative writer. [00:06:07] Speaker B: Oh absolutely. So context. You're a food writer for an Italian American restaurant known for its cozy family friendly atmosphere. Write a mouth watering menu description for our new lasagna dish. Our food is made with love, just like Nona used to make for example. Every bite feels like a hug from the old country. [00:06:26] Speaker A: That's fantastic. You can instantly imagine the description. It'll be rich, descriptive and sell that lasagna far better than just layers of pasta, meat and cheese. Better copy sells more food. That's direct revenue. [00:06:39] Speaker B: Another big one is social media, which so many owners find to be a choreography. Contacts your social media manager For a business coach who helps entrepreneurs overcome burnout. Command write three short empathetic Instagram captions about the importance of setting boundaries. Your business should serve your life, not the other way around. [00:06:59] Speaker A: That's how we help businesses turn chaos into clarity using smart technology and AI. It's not about adding more apps, it's about building an intelligent infrastructure for your business. [00:07:09] Speaker B: This is why we don't look at AI as a collection of apps. We look at it as infrastructure for our clients. These prompt frameworks are already built into their systems. They're not guessing what to type into ChatGPT, they're clicking buttons, entering details and letting their systems do the heavy lifting. [00:07:24] Speaker A: That's the difference between experimenting with AI and actually using it to run a more profitable, less stressful business. [00:07:32] Speaker B: Now, what happens if the first response from AI isn't perfect? This is where people get stuck. They try once, it's not great and they quit, right? [00:07:42] Speaker A: Don't quit. Treat it like a new assistant you're training. You wouldn't fire an intern on their first day for not getting everything perfect. You'd give them feedback. AI improves through conversation. [00:07:53] Speaker B: You can use simple conversational feedback. You can say things like make it shorter or make it more professional. Or my favorite, rewrite this with a friendlier, more approachable tone. [00:08:05] Speaker A: You can also ask for options. Give me three different variations of that headline, or rewrite that paragraph as a bulleted list. This refinement process is where the real value shows up. The first draft is just the starting point. [00:08:19] Speaker B: Businesses that implement AI the right way see faster response times, which leads to more sales. They see lower operational costs because they're automating manual tasks. And they create a better customer experience because they're more consistent and organized. [00:08:34] Speaker A: But only when AI is connected to systems. Random usage creates noise and more disorganization. Systems create momentum. [00:08:43] Speaker B: Okay, so for everyone listening who's feeling that spark of excitement, but also a little bit of that familiar tech overwhelm, let's make this super practical. What is one thing they can do today, right after this episode ends? [00:08:56] Speaker A: Great question. Here's a simple three step action plan. First, pick one. Just one repetitive writing task in your business. It could be answering a frequently asked question, writing a thank you note to a client's, or drafting a project update. [00:09:11] Speaker B: Okay, so pick one small annoying task. What's step two? [00:09:15] Speaker A: Step two is to open up ChatGPT and write your first CCE prompt context command example. Don't overthink it, just lay it out. Who is the AI? What do you want it to do? And what's one sentence that sounds like your brand? [00:09:30] Speaker B: And step three? [00:09:32] Speaker A: Step three is to refine the output twice. Just twice. Ask it to make one change. Like make it shorter. Then ask it to make another. Like add a question at the end. That's it. You've just created a valuable business asset in under five minutes. [00:09:47] Speaker B: That's a fantastic, non scary way to start. It builds confidence and shows you the power of this method on a small scale before you try to tackle your entire marketing strategy. [00:09:57] Speaker A: And if you're listening and thinking, this sounds great, but I don't want to build all of this myself, you're not alone. [00:10:04] Speaker B: Most of our clients felt the same way. They didn't want more apps, they didn't want more complexity. They wanted systems that just work so they can get back to doing what they love. [00:10:13] Speaker A: Exactly. So we helped them implement smart AI powered systems that support their day to day operations without adding more to their plate. Because the goal of technology should be to give you back your time, not take more of it. [00:10:28] Speaker B: Alright, to sum it all up, stop giving AI vague suggestions and start giving it clear directives with the Context Command Example framework. This is how you go from playing with AI to using it as a powerful engine for revenue and efficiency in your business. [00:10:43] Speaker A: And if you want a partner to help you build these intelligent systems, the hello LLC is here for you.
